[Outlander Summary] S01E13: The Watch.



The group of men who show up in Lallybroch are the watchmen that Jenny and Ian pay for protection from the redcoats and other raiding clans. Jenny introduce Jamie as her cousin. Jamie furious about the watch present but Jenny defend she have no better choice while Jamie away to protect their estate and tenants. Claire ask Jamie to not provoke the watchmen.

Taran, the watchmen leader, try to dig into Jamie background. Ian and Jamie tells stories of their time together in France. It turns out Taran was in the army as well. One of Taran's men set the hay in fire because Jamie can't keep his mouth shut. They get into the fight. See how Jamie fight, Taran offer Jamie to join him. Horrocks, the man Taran expected, arrive at Lallybroch.

Jenny's water is broke while she and Claire washes clothes. After checking on her, Claire tells Jenny the baby is breech and they have to turn him. Claire is failed to change the baby position. The midwife couldn't come so it's all in Claire hands now.

Jamie finally got to talk to Horrocks alone. Horrocks ask some money from Jamie and he promise Jamie won't see his face again. Ian tells Jamie he doesn't want what Randall did to Jenny to happen again. That's why he get along with the watch. Jamie finally tells Ian the truth about Horrocks.


When they discuss about the money Horrocks request, Claire revealed she can't have children. Jenny get through the difficult labor, but thankfully the baby and the mother are safe and healthy. Taran have suspicion on Jamie for Horrocks disappearance and say he's one man short. Jamie offer to ride with him just once. So is Ian.

Jamie have suspicion about the ambush spot when they arrive. It's like a small open tunnel without way out. Jamie immediately sense its a trap. Redcoats suddenly attack them from the higher ground.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Three days, and still no sign of Jamie or Ian.
Every day I sat on the steps and stared at the road, as if I could will them to appear.

Claire and Jenny joy for the new baby soon replace with worries and fear when Ian cross the Lallybroch gate in hurt condition. No sight of Jamie.

[Outlander Summary] S03E02: Surrender.

It's Scotland, 1752. The redcoats still looking for Jamie whose now called Dunbonnet. Ian and Jenny deny Jamie return to Lallybroch when a British officer ask them. Alive but don't want to put his family in danger, Jamie choose to live in the forest in hidden cave alone. One day, Fergus came to see him ask Jamie to teach him how to shoot. Fergus bring a pistol he found in dovecote. Fergus reason is he wants to defend their home on next rebellion. Jamie ask him to return the pistol where he found it. Jenny is in the middle of giving birth when Jamie came to look at the Lallybroch ledgers. Fergus shot a ravens that sit on Lallybroch gate because afraid with old saying it's a messengers of death. Jenny give birth to a boy and named him Ian. A redcoats group heard the shot and search the weapon inside the Lallybroch. Jamie whilst holding his newborn nephew hide in one of the rooms. When Fergus go inside the forest to see Jamie, he's been followed by 2 British so...

[Outlander Summary] S02E01: Through a Glass, Darkly.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1: I wished I were dead. And if I'd kept my eyes shut, I could have almost touched the edges of oblivion. But I'd made a promise and had to keep it. Even if it meant living a life I no longer wanted. He was gone. They were all gone. The world I'd left only moments ago was now dust.
