Jamie Fraser


Jamie Fraser was born with the full name James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser on May 1, 1721 to a father named Brian Fraser and a mother named Ellen Fraser. He was born in Lallybroch near Inverness, Scotland and has 2 brothers William Fraser & Robert Fraser, and a  sister named Jenny Fraser-Murray. His 2 brothers are died at the young age. Jamie later became a landowner and heir to Lallybroch with the title Laird of Broch Tuarach.

Like most Scottish boys, Jamie learned to play sword from his uncle, Dougal MacKenzie. Jamie studied at the University in Paris at the age of 18 and later return to Lallybroch. Because of defending the honor of his sister Jenny and the Lallybroch estate, Jamie was detained by British troops in 1740. He managed to escape from Fort William prison and became a fugitive at a price of 10 pounds Sterling for his head.

During one of his escape adventures where he was accompanied by his godfather Murtagh, his uncle Dougal MacKenzie and his men, Jamie met an English woman named Claire Beauchamp.

[Outlander Summary] S01E06: The Garrison Commander.

Concern about Claire well being, lieutenant Jeremy Foster take her to meet his commander at Brockton. Dougal come along with them. Claire is welcome by the brigadier general, Sir Oliver Lord Thomas, and join him and his men for lunch. There's a tension interaction between Dougal and Lord Thomas that makes Dougal has to leave the room.
