[Outlander Summary] S05E01: The Fiery Cross.


Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Home is the place, a site on which we live, but Fraser's Ridge is much more than that, a community built by the people who live there. Once Jamie and I had chosen a spot for a new home, with the help of settlers, construction began.

Men and women who made us feel at home before the walls of our new house had even gone up, who stood by us as the seasons came and went, who looked forward to reaping the first harvest with us and to sharing in our daughter's wedding, even if we hadnt quite finished the house in time.

We we making our mark on the land, laying our foundations for the rest of our lives.

Bree and Roger having their wedding ceremony at Fraser's Ridge that slowly become a small community of families. With the community help, Jamie built a new cabin for Bree and Roger. Both Claire and Jamie got emotional when they give Bree away in marriage to Roger. Being fugitive, Murtagh only can get a glimpse of the wedding.

When Bree looking for her father for a dance, she heard John Grey inform Jamie there have been sightings of Bonnet in the Province.

The next morning when they get together, Jacosta tells Murtagh a man named Duncan Innes has proposed to her. Jacosta also inform Roger, she makes Jeremiah, their son, as her heir of River Run property instead of Bree. At Fraser's Ridge, Claire finally have a chance to open a surgery/clinic. Every morning she accept patients and one of them is a young man named Josiah.

Governor Tyron also reminds Jamie from his obligation to start collect men and capture Murtagh. He even appoint a lieutenant to help Jamie hunt down the leader of these regulator. Jamie has no other choice because he signed the oath to the crown when he accept the land.

Meeting his godfather in the middle of the woods, Jamie ask him to run away.

[Outlander Summary] S01E11: The Devil's Mark.

Claire and Geillis are taken to underground prison or what the warden call it a thieves' hole. They both keep blaming each other for the arrest. Claire say it's Laoghaire who arrange the letter tell her to go to Geillis house. Geillis eventually admit it, she poison her husband so she can marry Dougal. Standing in front of judges and crowded room, they are both accused for the crime of witchcraft. Claire Fraser Monologue #1: There were no familiar faces in the crowd, none of my friends from Castle Leoch. My knowledge of witch trials told me that the accused rarely walked free. Claire sigh a little bit relieve when Ned Gowan show up in the room. Ned give an argument that the trial itself is illegal because the witchcraft act was repealed by the House of Lords in 1735.
