[Outlander Summary] S05E01: The Fiery Cross.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Home is the place, a site on which we live, but Fraser's Ridge is much more than that, a community built by the people who live there. Once Jamie and I had chosen a spot for a new home, with the help of settlers, construction began.

Men and women who made us feel at home before the walls of our new house had even gone up, who stood by us as the seasons came and went, who looked forward to reaping the first harvest with us and to sharing in our daughter's wedding, even if we hadnt quite finished the house in time.

We we making our mark on the land, laying our foundations for the rest of our lives.

Bree and Roger having their wedding ceremony at Fraser's Ridge that slowly become a small community of families. With the community help, Jamie built a new cabin for Bree and Roger. Both Claire and Jamie got emotional when they give Bree away in marriage to Roger. Being fugitive, Murtagh only can get a glimpse of the wedding.

When Bree looking for her father for a dance, she heard John Grey inform Jamie there have been sightings of Bonnet in the Province.

The next morning when they get together, Jacosta tells Murtagh a man named Duncan Innes has proposed to her. Jacosta also inform Roger, she makes Jeremiah, their son, as her heir of River Run property instead of Bree. At Fraser's Ridge, Claire finally have a chance to open a surgery/clinic. Every morning she accept patients and one of them is a young man named Josiah.

Governor Tyron also reminds Jamie from his obligation to start collect men and capture Murtagh. He even appoint a lieutenant to help Jamie hunt down the leader of these regulator. Jamie has no other choice because he signed the oath to the crown when he accept the land.

Meeting his godfather in the middle of the woods, Jamie ask him to run away.

[Outlander Summary] S05E05: Perpetual Adoration.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1: How many times have I put my hopes, my fears, my secret longings into the hands of a being I can't see, can't hear, can't even feel?. And how many times have my prayers been answered?. Part 2 Time is a lot of the things that people say God is. There's the preexisting and having no end. There's the notion of being all-powerful, because nothing can stand against time, not mountains, not armies. Give anything enough time, and everything is taken care of: all pain encompassed, all hardship erased, all loss subsumed. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Remember, Man, thou art dust, and unto dust thou shalt return. And if time is anything akin to God, I suppose that memory must be the devil. The episode begin with a flashback of Claire and Bree in Boston after Frank died. Jamie and his militia arrive in Hillsborough to collect men and meet with Lieutenant Knox. Knox gave Jamie a letter from governor Tyron that say he intends to pardon th...

[Outlander Summary] S02E01: Through a Glass, Darkly.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1: I wished I were dead. And if I'd kept my eyes shut, I could have almost touched the edges of oblivion. But I'd made a promise and had to keep it. Even if it meant living a life I no longer wanted. He was gone. They were all gone. The world I'd left only moments ago was now dust. Episode S02E01: Through a Glass, Darkly, start with a scene Claire laying on the grass of Craigh Na Dun, in year 1948. And the history didn't changed, British won the Battle of Culloden. Heart broken, weak, and disoriented with her surrounding, Claire is taken to the hospital. Frank immediately came to visit her when he heard the news. Awkwardness fill the room when they meet for the first time. Frank feel he's seeing his loving wife but Claire show an unexplained anger, don't know how to react with this new situation. [Outlander Summary] S01E01: Sassenach.

For a tv show, the first episode is very important. Because it will determine whether the audience will continue watching or not. Well, I belong to this category. There is no chance for the second or third episode hehehe. Outlander S01E01 "Sassenach" managed to attract me to watch the next episodes because of the interesting and solid storyline, and strong characteristics. When in fact I am less interested with a story "traveling through time" background. Claire Randall Monologue # 1: People disappear all the time. Young girls run away from home. Children stray from their parents and are never seen again. Housewives take the grocery money, and a taxi to the train station. Most are found eventually. Disappearances, after all, have explanations. Usually. Strange, the things you remember. Single images and feelings that stay with you down through the years. Like the moment I realized I'd never owned a vase. That I'd never lived any place l...
