[Outlander Summary] S04E02: Do No Harm.


After the incident with Stephen Bonnet, they continue their journey to River Run. Jamie blame himself for what happened to them, specially with what happened to Lesley. Auntie Jocasta welcome them with open arm and happiness. She flattered Jamie for his business instinct with Jared in Paris.

Ian making a new friend named John Quincy Myers, a man who help him wash away Rollo stinky odor. Ian get excited when John talking about Indian. Came from another time, Claire clearly not so please with amount of slaves Aunt Jocasta have and express it lightly how she feel about it.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

The party attracted the cream of Cross Creek society, all to meet Jamie and me. I found myself discussing local politics with Lieutenant Wolff, as well as Jocasta's friend and advisor, Farquard Campbell.

At the party to welcome Jamie, Claire, and Ian, without Jamie knowledge, Jocasta announced that Jamie will be her heir and should act as master of the estate immediately. Jamie accept the role hoping to make a change about slave owning situation.


Jamie and Claire face one of the situation where they have to deal with one of the slave's act that against the law. Jamie and Claire decision to save Rufus life caused another problem with their neighbors landowners.

Refuse to hand over Rufus to the mob, just so they can take the law on their own, Claire did something like she did to Column.

It's Jamie and Claire's wedding day. This episode have several flashback scene. Both of Claire marriage to Frank and Jamie are started in spontaneous or in sudden way. Frank and Claire getting married in register office on their way to meet Frank's parents in a restaurant for the first time. Claire Fraser Monologue #1: You forget your life after awhile...the life you had before. Things you cherish and hold dear are like pearls on a string. Cut the knot, they scatter across the floor, rolling into dark corners, never to be found again. So you move on. And eventually you forget what the pearls even looked like. Or at least you try. Jamie has been busy between manage Jared's wine business & try to hold the meeting that Prince Charles demand with Joseph Duverney. When they having a tea and card play a Louise's, Mary Hawkins revealed where she come from. Claire immediately remember why Mary Hawkins name sounds familiar to her. She's Frank's direct ancestor. Claire Fraser Monologue #1: Somewhere in the back of my mind I must have known. If Jack Randall had really died at Wentworth Prison, he obviously could not later wed Mary Hawkins and sire Frank's direct ancestor. And in that case, Frank himself would never exist.
