[Outlander Summary] S03E08: First Wife.


Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Here I was, at the place that had been imprinted forever in my head and on my heart. It was home once. It didn't appear that anything had changed, but somehow, nothing felt the same.

At Lallybroch, Jenny have a mixed feeling when she met Claire again. Ian and Jenny are mad when they know Young Ian has been staying with his uncle all this time and they didn't know about it. More mad when they found out Ian selling illegal liquor for Jamie and brag he's good at it.

Jamie tells Jenny to stop treat Young Ian as a child because he's a man now. He's more have free spirit than his other siblings. Jenny ask Jamie what really happened with Claire. Not ready to tell the truth, Jamie making up stories about her wife. Jenny looks doubtful.

When Jamie tell a story about him escape from Ardsmuir prison to search the treasure hidden, Laoghaire and 2 young girls storm in their bedroom and call him daddy. Claire is so angry and get into the fight with Jamie when she realize Laoghaire and Jamie are married now.


The next day when Claire decided to leave Lallybroch, Laoghaire came with a pistol in her hand wants to kill Claire. She shot Jamie accidentally. Claire is successfully take the pellets out of Jamie's shoulder. When he's conscious, Claire ask Jamie to explain why he marry Laoghaire.

Ned Gowan gave them advice to make reconciliation with Laoghaire. 20 pounds to pay Laoghaire is too much for Jamie, so he plan to get that hidden treasure on Silkie Island. Since Jamie couldn't swim with his wounded shoulder, Young Ian volunteer.

From a far, Jamie and Claire watching a group of pirate capture Young Ian when he's making his way down after he fetch the treasure box.

[Outlander Summary] S03E02: Surrender.

It's Scotland, 1752. The redcoats still looking for Jamie whose now called Dunbonnet. Ian and Jenny deny Jamie return to Lallybroch when a British officer ask them. Alive but don't want to put his family in danger, Jamie choose to live in the forest in hidden cave alone. One day, Fergus came to see him ask Jamie to teach him how to shoot. Fergus bring a pistol he found in dovecote. Fergus reason is he wants to defend their home on next rebellion. Jamie ask him to return the pistol where he found it. Jenny is in the middle of giving birth when Jamie came to look at the Lallybroch ledgers. Fergus shot a ravens that sit on Lallybroch gate because afraid with old saying it's a messengers of death. Jenny give birth to a boy and named him Ian. A redcoats group heard the shot and search the weapon inside the Lallybroch. Jamie whilst holding his newborn nephew hide in one of the rooms. [Outlander Summary] S02E01: Through a Glass, Darkly.

Claire Fraser Monologue #1: I wished I were dead. And if I'd kept my eyes shut, I could have almost touched the edges of oblivion. But I'd made a promise and had to keep it. Even if it meant living a life I no longer wanted. He was gone. They were all gone. The world I'd left only moments ago was now dust.
