[Outlander Summary] S05E09: Monsters And Heroes.


Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Time is marked and measured in different ways. The colors of our lives were changing. The vibrant greens of summer faded beneath the ever-varied canvas of sky, replaced by the russet tones of autumn, brown hues of harvest, and blue-violet shades of indigo dye.

Life looks peace and quiet at Fraser's Ridge as autumn season approach. Marsali's pregnancy is in right track, and Bree and Claire have a mother - daughter conversation about what they want to be in their life. When Jamie and several men went to buffalo hunting, he's got bitten by a snake.

Jamie asked Roger to get other men for help but he returned with no success. Ian, Fergus, and Josiah already going back to Fraser's Ridge. Because of Jamie's condition, they forced to make a camp and hoping people will come to search them. Burning up and in pain, Jamie asked Roger to kill Stephen Bonnet if he by destiny can't do it himself. Men of Fraser's Ridge found them the next morning.

With limited resource she has, Claire do anything she can to save Jamie. She even make the whole community looking for maggots to help stave off the infection. Thanks to Bree engineering mind, Claire doesn't have to amputate Jamie's leg.

[Outlander Summary] S02E07: Faith.

Claire was taken to charity hospital immediately. Tired emotionally and physically watching Jamie duel with Randall, Claire lost the baby. Even though the baby born dead, Mother Hildegard still baptized and named her Faith. Because of Claire having a high fever, Mother Hildegard call a priest to preparing her soul. Master Raymond sneak into the hospital at night to heal Claire from high fever. Claire Fraser Monologue #1: A white hotness burned deep in my bones. I knew what it was. Puerperal fever. The baby had come, but part of the placenta had not. It festered inside my womb... but as Raymond's hands moved over the meridians of my body, I could feel the tiny deaths of the bacteria that inhabited my blood. [Outlander Summary] S01E15: Wentworth Prison.

Jamie and Taran are in the line waiting to be hung. Jamie fight the guards when his name called to be executed. Randall suddenly appear and ask guards to stop Jamie execution. They escort him to dungeon cell. Claire finally got an access to the warden to find information about Jamie. Claire sigh a little bit relieve when the warden tell her Jamie execution has been granted a temporary stay for a little while. Angus and Rupert collects some information from Wentworth workers while playing dice. They know the time when is the warden having his evening meal and his habit to read the bible. That is enough information for Claire. Randall visit Jamie in his cell and burn Jamie's petition of complaint against him. He play with Jamie's mind ask him to surrender and he can choose how he want to leave this world. Instead of surrender, Jamie choose to fight back.
