[Outlander Summary] S05E09: Monsters And Heroes.


Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

Time is marked and measured in different ways. The colors of our lives were changing. The vibrant greens of summer faded beneath the ever-varied canvas of sky, replaced by the russet tones of autumn, brown hues of harvest, and blue-violet shades of indigo dye.

Life looks peace and quiet at Fraser's Ridge as autumn season approach. Marsali's pregnancy is in right track, and Bree and Claire have a mother - daughter conversation about what they want to be in their life. When Jamie and several men went to buffalo hunting, he's got bitten by a snake.

Jamie asked Roger to get other men for help but he returned with no success. Ian, Fergus, and Josiah already going back to Fraser's Ridge. Because of Jamie's condition, they forced to make a camp and hoping people will come to search them. Burning up and in pain, Jamie asked Roger to kill Stephen Bonnet if he by destiny can't do it himself. Men of Fraser's Ridge found them the next morning.

With limited resource she has, Claire do anything she can to save Jamie. She even make the whole community looking for maggots to help stave off the infection. Thanks to Bree engineering mind, Claire doesn't have to amputate Jamie's leg.

For a tv show, the first episode is very important. Because it will determine whether the audience will continue watching or not. Well, I belong to this category. There is no chance for the second or third episode hehehe. [Outlander Summary] S04E03: The False Bride.

Back in Inverness 1970. Roger handed the house to Fiona to care and went to America for Scottish festival. In different time, after what happened to Rufus, Jamie & Claire decided to leave River Run and head to a town called Woolam's Creek. Ian insist he comes along with them and refuse to send home. John Myers later join them as he traveling at the same direction as them. John take Ian with him to do trading with Indians and separated ways with Jamie and Claire. They continue their journey to Woolam's Creek, and Claire share stories about Brianna with Jamie. They make a camp when a storm coming. Claire go find one of the horse that runaway because of the sound of the thunder. The horse later comeback but with no Claire in sight. Roger and Brianna arrive at Scottish festival that held in North Carolina. The festival have dance & music, sport, and art activities. Roger even participated in one of the music performance. [Outlander Summary] S01E07: The Wedding.

It's Jamie and Claire's wedding day. This episode have several flashback scene. Both of Claire marriage to Frank and Jamie are started in spontaneous or in sudden way. Frank and Claire getting married in register office on their way to meet Frank's parents in a restaurant for the first time. Claire Fraser Monologue #1: You forget your life after awhile...the life you had before. Things you cherish and hold dear are like pearls on a string. Cut the knot, they scatter across the floor, rolling into dark corners, never to be found again. So you move on. And eventually you forget what the pearls even looked like. Or at least you try. After wedding ceremony and a little bit of celebration, Jamie and Claire are in their bedroom, both of them are nervous.
