ordered by Lord Lovat from their families and farms deserted our ranks.

We'd sent Young Simon to persuade them to return with the promise of land when the war was over. It gave them something to fight for, to die for.

If it went according to plan, all would meet up in Perth to join the prince's army.

Claire and Jamie reunited with Murtagh, Fergus, Douglas and his men, even though Column remained neutral. Douglas express his happiness about Jamie finally join Jacobite army. Jamie ask them to help him training all the men so they ready to join Prince's army.

Murtagh has difficult time to teach them even with a simple form a line or how too march. Jamie and Douglas take a part to teach them how to use a weapon and fight. Seeing this ordinary men learn to fight and be in the middle of another war preparation again gives Claire a flashback during her duty in WW II.

Having disagreement with the method they using when teaching men how to fight and their war plan, Jamie ask Douglas to respect his orders without objection. Seeing Claire condition is not getting better with the flashback, Jamie wants Claire to return to Lallybroch, but Claire reject it.

Later that night, Jamie was attacked by a young man named William Grey. With Claire help, Jamie manage to get an information from him about British troops he's joining in. With this new info, Jamie and a couple of men slip into the British camp and make some trouble.
