Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

She was right.
I scarcely knew the terrain around Lallybroch.
I could live for a time off the land, but for how long?.
I knew full well if I had any hope of finding Jamie I'd need help
if not divine intervention.

They arrive at ambush spot and found lifeless body. They ride to the east after Jenny found more cart tracks.

Claire Fraser Monologue #2:

I was reminded of the sad timelessness of war.
Victors carry their dead from fields and bury them.
The losers are left to slowly decay back into the soil.

They caught up with redcoats who custody Taran. Still no Jamie in sight. Jenny and Claire arrest a soldier who on his way to deliver a letter to commander. They investigate him about Jamie. Murtagh suddenly turn up and had to take care the British soldier "situation" for them.

When they camp at night, Jenny and Claire has opportunity to learn about each other, as sisters in-law should be. At morning, Claire and Murtagh continue their journey to find Jamie without Jenny who decided to return to Lallybroch. Knowing what happen in future war, Claire ask Jenny to plant potatoes as many as she can and sell her lands and property for gold.

Claire Fraser Monologue #3:

It was clear that with Murtagh's arrival, Jenny had to go back to Lallybroch and her infant daughter.
However, I felt the burden of being a profit.

One thing Murtagh and Claire know, Jamie is not captured by redcoats but on the run alone. So they try to get Jamie find them by attract his attention. Claire give medical treatment to people who need it, read hands lines, singing and dancing. It's a difficult start at first. Their act draw attention, but still no words about Jamie.

Claire Fraser Monologue #4:

I found out soon enough what he meant.
We traveled openly and slowly along the main roads and stopped at every croft, village, and hamlet we came to.

There, Murtagh would make a quick survey of the local populace, round up anyone suffering from illness or injury, and bring them to me for treatment.

Physicians being few and far between in these parts were always guaranteed to draw attention.

Murtagh had his own way of attracting attention.

In one of their argument about the search method, Murtagh open up about himself a little bit. A group of gypsies who copycat their act deliver a message for Claire from someone, ask her to go some place that Murtagh recognized. When they arrive, they found Dougal instead with the news about Jamie.

Dougal offer Claire a deal to save Jamie from Wentworth prison. Claire accept it with one condition. With only 4 men agree to save Jamie, Claire lead them to Wentworth.

[Outlander Summary] S01E01: Sassenach.

For a tv show, the first episode is very important. Because it will determine whether the audience will continue watching or not. Well, I belong to this category. There is no chance for the second or third episode hehehe. Outlander S01E01 "Sassenach" managed to attract me to watch the next episodes because of the interesting and solid storyline, and strong characteristics. When in fact I am less interested with a story "traveling through time" background. Claire Randall Monologue # 1: People disappear all the time. Young girls run away from home. Children stray from their parents and are never seen again. Housewives take the grocery money, and a taxi to the train station. Most are found eventually. Disappearances, after all, have explanations. Usually. Strange, the things you remember. Single images and feelings that stay with you down through the years. Like the moment I realized I'd never owned a vase. That I'd never lived any place l...
