Claire Fraser Monologue #1:

You forget your life after awhile...the life you had before.

Things you cherish and hold dear are like pearls on a string.
Cut the knot, they scatter across the floor, rolling into dark corners,
never to be found again.

So you move on.
And eventually you forget what the pearls even looked like.
Or at least you try.

After wedding ceremony and a little bit of celebration, Jamie and Claire are in their bedroom, both of them are nervous. Jamie said the party downstairs won't stop until they make their wedding night "official". To get rid off nerves Claire offer a drink. Claire have more drink than Jamie though. Concern about his new wife state, Jamie assure Claire she needn't be afraid of him.

Claire then ask Jamie why he agree to marry her. Jamie say he didn't had much choice either. It's the only way according to law to keep Claire out of Fort William and Captain Randall. In short answer Jamie marry Claire to keep her safe and now under his protection. Because she's his wife now, Claire wants to know about Jamie family history.

Claire Fraser Monologue #2:

It was a distraction, to be sure,
but a welcome one for both of us.

When he told me his family history, I reciprocated in kind...
and we each spent the next several hours
drinking and talking and... generally getting to know
our new spouses for the first time.

He was charming, a born storyteller, like most Scots.
As the hours passed, I began to relax and eventually to enjoy myself.

Claire Fraser Monologue #3:

There it was.
Not only was I a bigamist and an adulteress,
but I 'd enjoyed it.

After they make it "official", Claire get out of the room to find food. Jamie follow her and they're instantly greet by Dougal's men jokes. Back to their room, Jamie told Claire about his preparation for their wedding day. From the new kilt, the ceremony itself, their wedding ring, and Claire dress.

Claire Fraser Monologue #4:

What exactly did the words mean?.
"You are blood of my blood and bone of my bone."
"I give you my body that we two may be one."
"I give you my spirit...till our life shall be done."

When Claire looking for a drink in the hall, she met Dougal who deliver her the news that Captain Randall already know about her current status. In the end of the evening, Jamie gave Claire a pearl necklace that belong to her mother. The next morning when Claire tidy up their clothes, she watch her wedding ring to Frank fall to the floor.

[Outlander Summary] S01E01: Sassenach.

For a tv show, the first episode is very important. Because it will determine whether the audience will continue watching or not. Well, I belong to this category. There is no chance for the second or third episode hehehe. Outlander S01E01 "Sassenach" managed to attract me to watch the next episodes because of the interesting and solid storyline, and strong characteristics. When in fact I am less interested with a story "traveling through time" background. Claire Randall Monologue # 1: People disappear all the time. Young girls run away from home. Children stray from their parents and are never seen again. Housewives take the grocery money, and a taxi to the train station. Most are found eventually. Disappearances, after all, have explanations. Usually. Strange, the things you remember. Single images and feelings that stay with you down through the years. Like the moment I realized I'd never owned a vase. That I'd never lived any place l...
